Charter responsible declaration (CAIB)
We file the responsible declaration with the CAIB so your boat can operate as a charter in the Balearics. Online you pay our fee with VAT; the CAIB fee varies with the boat’s length in metres and is paid separately.

The official fee is paid separately
The official fee is not included in the online payment: it is confirmed when we file your case. We tell you the amount before going ahead and the office settles it separately.
Documents you need
- Owner’s ID (DNI/NIE) or company tax number (CIF)
- Details of the charter activity
- Boat documents
- Skipper’s nautical qualification
- Form 036 and registration with the RETA (self-employed scheme)
